‘Growing in love, in the spirit of Christ, for the benefit of all’

Year 6

Friday 20th March 2020

Good Morning Year 6,

For today's home learning I have set you the following tasks:

At 9am today, Joe Wicks, otherwise known as 'The Body Coach' will be doing an online PE session on his Youtube channel. Search for his name on Youtube and follow his workout. Everyone still at school will be doing this, so please join us in our whole school PE session.

Following the steps to success provided, complete the Percentages of Amounts worksheet in your yellow exercise book. The worksheet will be added below to today's home learning.

Please complete the 'Comparing' section of your CGP English book. This will be under the reading section. Pages 20 and 21.

All in our school community today will be painting, drawing or creating a Rainbow to put up in their window. The Rainbow is a symbol of Hope that after the storm something good will happen. We are wanting to spread a message of Hope around our community so please join in. If you can, ask your parents or carers to send a picture of this to the school's home learning email.

Enjoy your day Year 6 and try and get some fresh air on this lovely day.

Best Wishes,

Mrs Waring laugh

Good Morning Year 6,

I hope you are all well. Today's home learning is as follows:

In your Home Learning packs, you will find on page 8, Fluency work linked to converting Fractions to Decimals.

You need to complete the Fluency page and then challenge yourself to the Reasoning.

Remember: To convert a fraction to a decimal using division, you need to divide the numerator by the denominator.

Following the expanded noun phrases work from yesterday, in your book you need to now use expanded noun phrases in your writing. Choose a subject to describe and write a bank of sentences containing expanded noun phrases. To challenge yourself, write these in a paragraph.

You must check that all work is punctuated correctly and that spellings are correct.

Our Word of the Week this week is Mercy.

Please watch the Word of the Week video for this week and rewrite the mission. How could we live out the mission of this piece of scripture. Give reasons for your choices.

To note, other further learning platforms that are available to all pupils and are incredibly useful to support your learning are:
