Thursday 21st May 2020

Good Morning Year 6,

We are coming to the end of our term again and next week will be the half term holidays so there will be no home learning - you can have a week off! Today is the feast of the Ascension, celebrating Jesus ascending into heaven, so we will be having Liturgy today linked to our word of the week. See the details in the days instructions the video link.

Other home learning today will be: Maths, English, RE and ICT. Follow the instructions in today's post to access all the learning. The worksheets are attached, the only difference is that there is no ICT worksheet, the instructions for that are in the post below from Mr Harris.

Take care,

Mrs Waring

ICT

Hi Everyone,

Time to do some coding and TURN UP THE VOLUME!

Log in to code.org at: studio.code.org/join/RYHLTD

Once in, have a go at Dance Party - create a dance routine in code.  Read the instructions carefully to progress.

This will work on almost any device - tablet, ipad, pc, laptop or mobile smartphone, so please encourage your child to have a go - it's fun and will reinforce the coding we have done in class.

Drop me a line if you can't remember their sign in character or need any help.

Rewards are available for those that progress.  Happy coding!

Monday 18th May 2020

Good Morning Year 6,

I hope everyone has enjoyed their weekend. This week is Multi-Faith week for our school and gives us an opportunity to learn about a different faith. Our faith week this week will focus on Islam. We will be looking at different elements of the Muslim faith, building on knowledge from the previous years.

Today's home learning timetable is: Pe, Maths, English and RE. This week, as with previous weeks, the Maths work is accompanied by an online video explaining the mathematical element. Follow the link and instructions in today's instructions document to lead you to the video. This week also involves Measuring angles. If you cannot print the sheet off, leave the questions that require you to physically measure the angles yourself and do what you can.

Take care,

Mrs Waring
