PE

The Keepy Uppy Challenge

Maths

Well done to everyone who took part in the Boys vs. Girls Battle of the Bands on Times Table Rock Stars last week. Congratulations to the girls, who won with 3046 points. I have added a new battle which will finish next Wednesday. Good luck!

As tomorrow is a bank holiday, we are going to complete the guided reading task today instead.

Monday 4th May

Good morning Year 5,

 

We’ve got an important event coming up this week – it’s VE Day on Friday. VE Day marked the formal conclusion of the war with Germany and brought to an end six years of suffering, courage and endurance across the world. Friday 8th May marks the 75th Anniversary of VE Day. Keep your eyes peeled for VE Day activities which will be posted on the school website this week.

I have attached the answers to Friday’s guided reading and the SPAG Friday challenge.


Following our SPAG work last week, we are going to spend this week writing a shared write version of a set of instructions. I have attached my plan below and have highlighted bits for you to change. My set of instructions tell the reader how to plant a tree, perhaps you could use your topic work to plan a set of instructions for planting seeds.

 

Remember, you don’t need to copy out the planning grid, just use the same headings and do your planning in your exercise book.

 

RE
