‘Growing in love, in the spirit of Christ, for the benefit of all’

Week 2 30.03.2020

Good Morning Year 6,

Today is the final day of the Spring Term which means that today you will break up for your Easter holiday. It has been a strange end to our Spring Term but it has been lovely to see all the home learning that you have been doing to ensure that when we are back at school, you are ready to continue.

Take some time to relax and enjoy your Easter holiday in whichever way you can, this year looks set to be different to other years but try and spend a short amount of time thinking about the Easter message. I also have a special half term project for you to complete over the holidays, so keep your eyes peeled for that!

Take care and stay safe,

Good Morning Year 6,

Today is looking to be a lovely day, so maybe you could start your day with your exercise in your garden or maybe wrap up and have a picnic lunch. Even though your new 'school' is different from St Joseph's, make sure that you still make time for 'break time' and have a bit of fresh air, safely in your garden if you can do.

Today's home learning has been added above. For the English, you need to complete the story you have been writing based on my plan. I have enjoyed reading the ones that you have sent in. To support you with the Maths, if you open last week's home learning tab and use the steps for success for finding a percentage, this will help you.

Enjoy your Thursday,

Good Morning Year 6,

We are half way through the week, nearly at Friday and close to the Easter holidays which will give you a short break from Home Learning. Don't worry there will be a little homework to keep you busy wink

I hope you are having a lovely week and are managing to be able to do some of the things you love to do, safely at home.

Good Morning Year 6,

Today looks like it is set to be a lovely day so my advice to you is to make the most of it! Try and get yourself outside (in your garden or outside your house) for some fresh air but remember to stay safe and stay home. Please also remember, if you haven't already, to send your prayer to Mrs Broad at the home learning email. We are collecting together prayers for those people who are suffering or those people who are helping people at this difficult time. Knowing people are praying for them really helps.

Enjoy your day, I am enjoying seeing all your home learning pictures, as well as the pictures of the other creative activities you are getting up to!

Stay safe,

Mrs Waring

Monday 30th March 2020

Good Morning Year 6,

I hope you have all adapted well to your new 'schools'. I hope the new teachers are nice too! wink

I have uploaded a document with the work that you need to access instead of listing it all, hopefully this makes it easier to access and see what needs to be done each day. If you have any problems viewing this, please email the home learning email.

Please remember to use your revision guides to help you with your Maths and English, this is what they are there for and will really help you understand today's work. Please ensure, if you have not already, that you complete last week's MyMaths work before moving on as this will help too.

I hope that you have managed to enjoy your weekend in some way, I imagine that it was different to what you are used to. This will pass and it is important that you remain occupied and active throughout. It may be useful at this time to keep a little diary. Remember the diaries we looked at from the 1940's. One day maybe someone will read yours?

Take care and stay safe!
