Good Morning Year 6! Week 1 nearly done! I hope you have all adapted to home learning well and that you are not finding it took much of a struggle. It is fantastic to see so many of you sending in your work. Can you spot yours on our home learning page? Don't forget that if you have a question, send it to the school home learning email account and I will get back to you as quick as I can.

For today's home learning:

PE

Join Joe Wicks, The Body Coach, live at 9am for his home learning PE session. Try and create your own workout if you are unable to join him live.

Good Morning Year 6,

It is lovely to see the work that you have been completing. Remember if you haven't already to send some pictures of your work to the home learning email for us to see and don't forget to log on to MyMaths, TT Rockstars and Bug Club. It is important at this strange time that you keep going with your work as you will need this in the future. Today's work is below and the worksheets you will need will be attached above. Please remember that these worksheets do not need printing. You need to complete the work in your book as you would in class.

PE

Join Joe Wicks, The Body Coach, live at 9am for his home learning PE session. Try and create your own workout if you are unable to join him live.

Maths

For today’s Maths we will be looking at how to use bar models to calculate the whole amount. Follow the instructions and the steps to success to calculate the problems in your exercise book.

English

As revision, we are going to look at active and passive voice. Remember passive voice moves the object to the beginning of the sentence and uses by …. at the end of the sentence. If it is not there, use by zombies to check whether it is passive voice.

Attached below is the worksheet for today. Copy these sentences into your exercise book and identify if they are active or passive and the turn them into the opposite. For example: Tom kicked the ball – Active. You will then turn this into: The ball was kicked by Tom – Passive.

RE

The word of the week is fasting. Think about how this relates to the time of Lent and explain how Jesus showed us how to do this. Write a prayer asking for guidance at this time of Lent.

Have a lovely day Year 6 and as it's a beautiful day, maybe you could complete some of your work safely outside?

Take care,
