‘Growing in love, in the spirit of Christ, for the benefit of all’

In this unit, children learn the rules of rounders and the skills that are essential in order to be able to both attack and defend. They also learn what it means to track and retrieve balls over longer distances and how to work as part of a team to ensure success!

In dance, children learn the difference between actions and dynamics and apply this to different movements to show feelings and emotion. They also learn how to perform simple lifts and leaps, eventually creating a routine which incorporates these elements.

Lastly, they learn the features of a traditional Hakka and recreate their own versions.

In this unit, children learn the different types of passes used in netball, what it means to mark another player and the rules of netball which work alongside this. They also learn how to use rebounds to their advantage.

They then have chance to apply this learning to a competitive netball game.
