‘Growing in love, in the spirit of Christ, for the benefit of all’

Half Term Project

Happy Holiday's Year 6!

Now this is not your average Easter holiday as I am sure you are all well aware and for some of you as children of key workers, we may still be seeing you in school. It is important that you find time to relax and enjoy the things you love whilst staying safe. This will unfortunately mean that we have to stay at home and avoid doing some of the things we love such as visiting family and seeing friends. We will have to find new ways of enjoying and occupying ourselves.

Over the holiday, I have set you a project based on our topic. This is the ending of our 'A Child's War' topic as we will be moving onto a new topic after the holidays. This is you chance to show us all what you have learnt. It is also a chance for you to be creative, explore this project and present in whatever way you wish. See the notice attached to this post for more details.

Also over the half term holiday I would like you to complete the following:

Maths: Complete the percentages pages in your CGP homework book (pages 38/39)

Log onto TT Rockstars frequently to rehearse and secure your timestables.

English: Complete the  Grammar Set B test in your brown SATS envelope back.

The spelling test is in the middle and in the answer book is the list of spellings. Ask a grown up to read

             them out for you.

Also, log onto Bug Club and complete a book per week.

RE: Create an Easter card for your family using some of the scripture we have looked at concerning the Easter

This list looks long but with the exception of the Topic project, they are all short tasks and you are more than capable of completing them. I look forward to seeing the pictures of your fabulous topic projects! Be creative and WOW your grown-ups!

Take care over the holidays and please stay safe! Follow the advice of your grown ups. I hope that I will see you all soon when we can share our stories of our time at home but in the meantime, let us all pray for the safe and speedy recovery of anyone who is ill and for the safe and speedy return of everyday life.

Best wishes,

Mrs Waring
