‘Growing in love, in the spirit of Christ, for the benefit of all’

FOSJ Update

FOSJ’s is going from strength to strength and we have arranged some very enjoyable events raising valuable funds for the school.  So far we have held a couple of school disco’s which the kids love, an England football family night, a family quiz night with fish and chip supper and support the MacMillan charity by holding coffee mornings in school. Not forgetting our biggest event yet our summer fayre which raised nearly £1000!

Our monies raised so far have gone towards book banding, developing the playground equipment and updating the sound system in the hall.

We recently obtained feedback from parents in the school by handing out a  questionnaire at the parent consultation days. We were very grateful to those who filled them in and the responses gave us some ideas for future events but most importantly we were encouraged to hear that people appreciated our work for the school and we received lots of  positive feedback. Generally people wanted more  of the same kind events that we have done. With this in mind we plan to hold a Valentines disco, some form of fun family night yet to be decided and a summer fayre next year. We will also be at the Advent Fayre this coming Thursday serving refreshments and with a hook a duck game.

We are a friendly group of mum’s and sometimes dad’s (though we’d love to see more of you) from the school so please come along to support our events and if you wish to be involved with any of our events,  either in the run up or on the day please let us know we would be very grateful for any help.
