Spring 2: Painting
This half-term we have been focusing on our painting skills! We have learnt how to mix secondary colours, made different tints, tone and shades, experimented with warm and cool colours and then recreated a section from our focused artist - Kandinsky and his piece 'Concentric Circles'. Spring 1: Drawing
This half-term we will be focusing on our drawing skills and techniques as well as looking at the artist L.S. Lowry. This links with our current topic 'Street Detectives'. Please see below for our knowledge organiser which will help understand the skills and terminology used this term.

Autumn 2: Wheels and axles: This half-term we will be learning about mechanisms and moving vehicles. We will learn techniques to join materials together to make a moving vehicle. We will use these skills to create a group moving vehicle that will carry a trebuchet - linked to our 'Castles, Kings and Queens' topic (defence and attack methods).

Autumn 1: This half-term we will be working with clay. We will learn techniques to cut, shape and mould clay, learn different skills such as wedging and how to join clay using the 'slip and score' technique. We will use these skills to create a personalised coat of arms shield - relating to our castles topic.
