About our school

St Joseph’s school mainly serves the surrounding locality of Boughton and Ollerton as well as local villages and the Parish of St Joseph’s. Our overall roll of around 200 includes children aged 3-11 in single form entry classes.

We welcome applicants from all parents both catholic and non catholic who support the ethos of our school in preparing children to be the best possible citizens with well established morals which they apply to their everyday life.

The school site includes a separate Nursery building holding up to 50 children in two sessions per day.

Our Key stage 1 department for children aged 5 – 7 was redeveloped and refurbished in a project which finished in Easter 2011. These modern facilities now provide a fantastic environment for the children to begin the formal part of their learning journey.

Our Key stage 2 classrooms are enclosed within the same building so transition into this phase of learning is very smooth and successful.

Joining us

If you are interested in sending your child to our school we recommend you take a look at the following information before making your decision.

We produce a prospectus for those interested in our school.  Please go here to view a copy.

We had our last OFSTED inspection in the Autumn of 2007 and the report is available from the OFSTED website.

We also have a School Profile, which is an informative outline of the school's aims, achievements and activities held on the Government's Directgov website.

We value the views of our parents and guardians.  The results of the latest parental questionnaire (2010/2011) is available here.

Of course the best way to make a judgement is to come to the school and see the work we do.  Please contact the school office to organise a visit.  We look forward to meeting you.
